Real shot percentage in NBA 2K22 has been a huge debate among the 2K community on whether it is better than the traditional shot timing method that can be used. While we will not be covering which is better than the other, we will be looking at how you can turn this feature on.
For those players that have been having issues timing your release when shooting, the real player shot percentage setting may help you start knocking down some of those shots that you have been missing. Hopefully, changing this setting will also help you start winning more games. If you do not know what shot timing is, Mike Wang explained it as “Real Player % eliminates the need to time/aim shots but the shot coverage still impacts your make percentage.”

With the real shot percentage feature turned on, you will still have to take smart and open shots to increase your chance of making the basket but at least you won’t have to worry about the shot release. To try out this feature, there is a simple setting that you have to change.
Follow these steps:
- From the MyTeam home screen go over to the “EXTRAS” tab at the top of the screen and select “Controler Settings”
- In this menu, find the “Shot Timing” option. Change this setting to “Real Player %”
