How to win NBA 2K20's Rush 1 vs 1 Event

Do you like a 1 vs 1 game instead of the traditional 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3 game in NBA 2K20’s Neighborhood? If this is you, then I know that you will enjoy the Rush 1 vs 1 event because I know I did! Oh yeah, you also get rewards for winning the event.

What is NBA 2K20 Neighborhood Events?

If you are new to the NBA 2K20 series, then the mention of Neighborhood events may seem puzzling to you. Don’t worry, I will quickly explain what these events are to get you up to speed. When you load into the neighborhood, you will notice that the available courts that you can play on are 3 vs 3 and 2 vs 2 game styles. From time to time you may enter the neighborhood and there will be a totally new design that transformed the neighborhood, this is most likely because there is an event going on. With these events comes additional courts and even mini-games that you can play. If you are lucky enough to win these events, there are different exclusive rewards that you can get for your MyPlayer.

This year the developers for NBA 2K20 really stepped it up a notch with the large variety of community events that seem to occur at least once a week. So now that we covered what these NBA 2K20 events are, let’s talk about the Rush 1vs1 event.

What do I need to do to win Rush 1 vs 1?

Finding the Rush 1 vs 1 event should be fairly easy once you load into the neighborhood. You should notice a large tent near the park courts. Trust me you can’t miss it.

Once you enter the tent, there will be a short cut scene while you are being matched with an opponent.

To beat this event and earn the rewards, you must win four straight 1 vs 1 games in a row. Yes, this means that if you lose any of your games before winning the fourth, you will need to start over.

Now I do know that this can be challenging especially when you have a Point Gaurd and are matched up with a Center. Oh yea, let me answer that question that probably has been brewing in your head. No, your match up is not decided on the position that you play. So a 250-pound center can get matched up with a 170-pound Point Guard. At least this was the case in my experience. Either way, this is part of the challenge of the event, which makes it so pleasing when you win and get to show off your exclusive gear in front of your friends.
